Introduction
MonoMusic is an Australian organisation which
explores issues of hope, suffering, the 'messiness' of life, and healing
from abuse, in the light of Christian faith. It does this through the
recording and publication of music, through writing, public speaking and
training days, both within and outside the mainstream church.
MonoMusic seeks to promote positive values of love, respect and trust
and encourages the overcoming of victimisation of the powerless in society.
We aim to produce creative work of integrity, both musically and lyrically. |

Monique Lisbon, the Managing Director and main composer
of music produced by MonoMusic, also explores these issues in public settings
such as performances, preaching, training and public speaking.

For Christian
faith to have anything relevant to say to a messy world with many different
voices and worldviews, it needs to ask the 'real' questions. Hence, MonoMusic
seeks to grapple with difficult issues of suffering, abuse and faith, and
the question of where a just God fits in. |
